Because, he had great fencing skill and gallantry. And he fell in love with princess Silvia(실비아). But Silvia had infamous and violent husband. So, Balian gave up his love. Because, he thought that honor is more important than life so he didn't can steal other person's wife. But princess Silvia's husband was so angry for Balian and Silvia. Finally, he rose up in great war. Balian took part in a enormous battle so that he defend the country and love against the enemy. This movie is magnificent spectacle.
